System Administrator Required in Oxfordshire

System Administrator Required in Oxfordshire- £60,000
Salary up to £60,000

A well- known company in the financial services sector, is recruiting a System Administrator in Oxford.

Working in a close-knit team you will work with other members of System Administration team and the Engineering team to expand and deploy new infrastructure, solve any operational issues and communicate new requirements identified. You will monitor and maintain systems to ensure 24/7 uptime by understanding the technology involved and how all systems fit together. You will know if systems are working optimally and be able to diagnose faults and address them, working with vendors and other internal teams as required

As well as the above you will be responsible for maintaining software builds, configuration, and packaging, you will also be responsible for day-to-day resource management (capacity planning, user and ACL changes, user-requested resource creation etc.) and well as providing infrastructure-related support to local users directly.

Requirements
-Strong Linux administration (RHCE a good profile) and some Microsoft experience (AD, Exchange etc.)
-Sufficient expertise to provide support to technical users and support issue investigation
-Experience maintaining critical network, storage and server infrastructure
-Understanding of data centre operations – electrical and cooling system concepts, effective cabling management, hardware deployment and maintenance
-Awareness of issues relating to system security
-You must live within a reasonable commuting distance as you will be working as part of a 24/7 support team.
