In this role you will be responsible for leading and participating in the activities associated with identifying and analyzing network requirements to develop detailed design specifications for data traffic and network enhancements, coordinating assigned projects for completion from beginning to end and effectively communicating results to end user; coach and mentor designated staff in network engineering projects, providing direction and support.

We are looking for the these specific technical skills:
Expert level knowledge of OSPF and multiprotocol BGP
Experience in a medium to large service provider environment supporting MPLS based services: 3 years
Extensive knowledge of MPLS Layer 3 VPN (L3VPN) service, Inter-AS option 10A & 10C, P and PE label switch and label edge routers
Detailed experience with MPLS & LDP
Intermediate experience with IOS-XR operating system
Basic experience with RSVP & MPLS traffic engineering
Basic DWDM experience (Fujitsu equipment preferred)
Platform experience with Cisco ASR 9000, ASR 1000, Nexus 7000, Catalyst 6500, ME 3800X series routers


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, electrical engineering, computer engineer or a related field is required. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements

Experience
* Minimum three years network infrastructure experience required.
* Minimum one year project coordination experience required

Technical
Based on assigned department or function the following qualifications my either be required or preferred:
* Hardware: Switches, routers, CSU/DSU
* Software: Unix, intrusion detection systems OS, IP Telephony, network management systems, and network analysis
* Network design on large scale networks

Other
* Intermediate knowledge of Word and Excel
* Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
* Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certification
* Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), CISCO and multi-vendor experience
