Award winning Virtualization & Storage Solutions Provider is expanding their enterprise / commercial presence in North Carolina and is in need of a Data Center focused Cisco Engineer with excellent troubleshooting and client support skills.

This VMware, EMC & Cisco Partner has an immediate need for a CCNP who will be a go-to for Cisco UCS, Nexus, WAAS, ACE and Route / Switch troubleshooting.

If you are a Cisco Network Engineer with solid Data Center experience, please read on!

What you need for this position:

- 5-10+ years of experience in Cisco Network Engineering
- CCNA, CCNP, CCDA, CCDP (CCIE is a big plus)
- Strong Layer 2 & 3 switch skills
- Strong experience in Cisco 7200 series routers
- Strong Cisco ASA 5500 series expertise
- Routing protocol experience with EIGRP, OSPF, BGP and concepts such as ACLs and IPV6
- Experience with Cisco UCS, Nexus, WAAS and/or Cisco ACE is a big plus
- Cisco Voice expertise (Call Manager, Unified Communications suite, etc.) is a plus
- Experience working for a Hosted Solutions, Managed Services, and / or VAR is a big plus.

What you'll be doing:

- Acting as a regional go-to Engineer supporting clients issues as related to Cisco Data Center and Cisco R/S issues
- Design, architecture, implementation and support of Cisco Data Center, routing, switching, network monitoring, trending analysis, performance tuning, and security configuration.
- Working to pro-actively anticipate clients needs and requirements
- Working toward a lead role in the Network Operations Center where you'll be in charge of an environment that is fast-paced and customer centric
- Working toward professional growth for your skills and your career (certifications, skills, responsibilities and / or titles)
